André is a highly-experienced Enterprise Architect, with the ability to go broad and deep in all architecture disciplines, achieving the highest level in an Architect group of 1200 architects. He has served as a member of the CTO Office of a Global 100 company, and performed Architect Audits for projects over $25 Million. Andre’s work has had a large impact on several Fortune 100 companies; two examples follow.
Andre led the Business Intelligence and Analytics practice for Unisys for over five years. He was Lead Architect for the Unisys GMS Operational Data Store (ODS), the central data warehouse used for analytics and dashboards of Service Management and Data Center management. The ODS data warehouse is now the primary source of analytics for the hundreds of Unisys customers and hundreds of internal users. This data warehouse went into service in 2012 and is now in Release 3 using the Microsoft BI stack and the Pure Share ITIL metrics Portal.
Andre also served Chief Architect at Verizon for the e-Services division. He was lead architect of the Verizon OMT Portal (to accept all LD transactions from telcos). This portal was failing daily and costing Verizon over $30 million in fines every year. The Portal was re-created using the SOA order processing backbone. Most of the software was replaced and extended to the integration layer of the Order Processing System. The transition was made from the land-line order process to the wireless order process. He was also the lead architect for the PDP system, an early attempt at using runbook automation to provision servers and architecture patterns on the Verizon internal network for development teams. It was using the CMDB and was replaced by Tivoli. It formed the core of what is now the Verizon Terremark offering.
